I'm bad at detecting mockery on the internet when it comes to religious(ish) stuff like that, because there are people who say stuff like that and mean it. That's the only time it happens consistently. It's gotta be some pretty dang obvious mockery or I interpret it as being totally serious.

It isn't, I'm saying I'm glad I put my foot down and told my parents they weren't reading my mail any more.
I deleted it, yes. No harm done. I really wasn't sure if I should even say anything since you didn't actually cause any harm and you seemed to mean well.
