We all know making goodbye posts gets you banned on point.
this got me thinking, what if someone actually is going to leave, and then everyone gets confused that they never see him/her online anymore
i mean people need to know if there going to leave.
of course most of them realize they have left but for how long? a week? a month? forever?

just makes me wonder how are we going to know if you actually left if you can't make a post about it?

I'm not leaving anytime soon.

No we don't.

That's why we have things like pm's, facebook, email, etc.

Your leaving doesn't have to be announced to the world, just tell the important people.

Just say that your leaving in your sig or avatar?

I think what generally happens is that people tell their BL related friends if they are leaving (who wouldn't?), and then the news of that person leaving quietly leaks out into the community through the friends. So if someone is actually leaving, it is done with much less commotion and drama.

wrong
this community has a lotta stuffheads
if someone posts a chat where you said you were leaving, there's a good chance you'd get banned
no idea why they'd do that, but like it or not, they would

I think leaving the forums doesn't really need a goodbye.
