They said Interplay could make the mmo, but then said that they violated the contract which apparently said they could only use the Fallout name. Also they didn't want Interplay to forget the lore that Bethesda already forgeted up.

Bethesda can be quite an starfish. Like that dispute with Mojang over their card game, "Scrolls".

or is like, a co-op version a lot more interesting than an MMO

You aren't alone. I don't enjoy MMO's that much. I'd like just me and a friend patroling the wasteland together, alone.

my only experience with an mmo was wow
and it was just like a bunch of grinding for real
it got boring for me really quickly
Harm94:
Well... what if they did a starmade approach. Big randomly generated worlds with the ability to build post apoc cars and crude guns while scavenging in for prewar relics? Also faction wars, roleplaying, bandits, mutant creatures, and ai neutral towns.

I disagree with that. Notch is an attention whore, he started a bunch of stuff with people. Like with the yogscast, he likes to start stuff.

I was unaware of this. What did he start with the Yogscast?

I feel grinding would be a big part in that. Grinding is a big part in all MMOs. You just need to find a system that reduces it to as little as possible.
