then Silly boy with silly hat: use your windy thing to fill the silly purple gear with air so it slowly fills up and up until it kerbooms

Grabbing onto it isn't possible. The drill moves at insane speed and it would just fling you off before you could do anything, not to mention it would probably make you dizzy and unable to attack.

Time for rodeo style. The drill probably acts as a bull when it attacks, it goes forward and it doesn't turn at all. If that's the case, when it's coming after you, evade to the right, and then hold your sword to the left so it cuts off the top of his drill thingy or whatever
