Planetary Annihilation - Jesus loving christ, 90$ for a game in alpha
<< < (2/8) > >>
lordician:
It's 60 dollars because you are not just paying for the Alpha.
Yes, it is the only way to get in the Alpha, but it is supposed to support the developers AND give you Alpha access.
If it is too expensive, buy a lower tier via their website and/or just wait.

A brand new AAA title doesn't cost me £60, where do these starfishs get off thinking they can charge me that much for an indie title just for the privilege of testing their game for them?

you're lucky they're even letting you bastards in the alpha. if you don't like it, wait until it's loving finished you cunts.

that's like paying $200 to get into the ARMA 3 Alpha.

nobody is forcing you to buy an unfinished game. if you want to play it, then pay the price, and if you think it's too pricy, wait until it's actually released.

alpha tests are not "HEY GUYS YOU CAN PLAY OUR GAME NOW". they're "test our stuff, but getting in this early will cost you, we need the support"

the exception was minecraft because minecraft printed money and it doesn't even count as a game.

The self entitled gamer brats are killing me. "Waah, it's too expensive and I can't wait a few months for the price to drop."

No one is making anybody buy this game, so they can wait for the price drop or they can stop crying and play something else. A PC/Console is a luxury item to begin with, so if you don't want to spend 60 dollars or more on a game then don't fork 400-800 dollars on something to play games with. If you don't agree with the business practices of said company then don't buy from them. Simply take your money somewhere else and spend on something for your price range. Heck take some money from each paycheck and save it and slowly build it up, it is called saving for a reason.

Also they are treating backers equally who paid 90 dollars for alpha access, I'd be pissed too if someone got a better deal than me.
