The next BIG thing?

I spent 1.5 months (about 3 hours a day) making a gamemode and a futuristic weapon pack with 13 original weapons, which were modeled and scripted by me. And nobody is coming to my server.
It looks like popular, well-known players can use boring, widespread add-ons like the Tier+Tactical packs. Hosts like me who are not well-known have to work harder to get players, and cannot use unoriginal ideas.

its losing creativity because people like you care so much to complain, but don't do anything, i personally don't really care to make the 'next big thing', but for people who care, they should be doing something instead of complaing.
but i do agree, blockland servers are getting boring.

I think there are three reasons we rarely see new ideas. First, it is hard for most people to think of new things to do. Second, on the rare occasion that someone DOES think of something new, it is unlikely that the person will have the great amount of determination that is required to make it. Thirdly, on the rare occasion that the first two things happen, the person will also have to learn how to host a server and keep players interested in it . These 3 troubles are what hold back new ideas from coming to life.
