Garry's Mod: stuck on "Loading Resources..." whenever I try to load de_dust

For some reason, Garry's Mod does not seem to load after it gets to loading resources on de_dust and de_dust2, it doesn't seem to happen on other maps though. It would be great if you can assist me on this.

Garry's Mod's loading has been slower than usual as of the recent updates, so go do something else while you wait for 3 hours

yes, I just assume that it couldn't handle it and crashed somehow, it normally doesn't take very long to load a map that I didn't load before
