Omg more arguments over the operating systems holy stuff.
Linux-Great for open party systems and development. Mac good for movie editing and processing. Windows, a combination of all and suitable for casual gaming and such.

Did I mention that Apple HATES gaming? And that Linux couldn't give two stuffs about it? Why do you think 87% of the indies prefer to launch on WINDOWS first?

Ex: Cubeworld.

I'm having a problem with Ubuntu now too, it seems its 13.04 that's is bringing about all of these issues. All of my shaders options are disabled using Wine 1.5 and Blockland actually crashes while downloading programs. This part is somewhat off topic but it am also getting an error with Steam and something with OpenGL GLX error and that direct rendering is disabled for 32bit applications (Steam and Blockland are both 32bit apps which is why I am stating this). So again this seems to be something with Ubuntu 13.04 as everything worked fine in 12.10 except unity was bigger resource hog.

Altiris:

Edit: I said downloading programs, I meant files.
