The "Prepare to Die Edition" part of it is just the DLC, which the PC port comes with. I don't actually play the PC version, but I do know that you probably want to use a joypad, and you might want to look into some mods that will improve framerate in some areas (Blighttown), and if you would prefer using mouse + keyboard, then look for mods that will improve the controls.
