Author Topic: Blockland: A Not-So-Safe Game Anymore  (Read 8191 times)

Well this lasted long. Why can't people just discuss...
We already have one of these???

Ten bucks says the OP was in Dezcaban's server with me when Dotdotcircle was talking about his stuff that the OP underlined, I think the OP is just all scared that he's gonna ddos or send creeps to his house or something.
No...
lol no but I do remember Hyaku ranting about how great of a guy Tezuni was in a city rpg
I like Tezuni, I'm sorry if my lack of hate does not satisfy you. I hardly see how that is even relevant.

Ephil moved this from general discussion.

This is seriously a huge non-issue. It's really, really not a big deal, but making 300 topics a day about it only gives the problem members attention and therefore more incentive to continue.

I'm sorry if my lack of hate does not satisfy you.

So? You still didn't need to make one if there already was one.

Those who never leave gen discussion wouldn't have known.
One reason I'm not happy this was moved, but i understand.

Yes rar, I'm sorry if my lack of passionate and burning hate for tezuni is unacceptable.

Minecraft has loads and loads of .dll mods that bring cheats to the game, almost every popular game you've heard of literally had abusive mods, does it make it a "Not-So-Safe Game"?  Nope.

oo, you going to get someone's position on a graple knife tdm? oh boy.  The only thing this 'get clients position' .dll will affect the servers like trench, some death matches.  But in all honesty, you guys should have expected this, games been out for almost a decade and this is the first .dll injection you've seen, i'm actually quite surprised.

I don't get the poll

if they're using hacks it's going to be blatantly obvious.

if they're using hacks it's going to be blatantly obvious.
No, it's not obvious at all, it's a .dll injection for the client to where that person can get everyone in their game's position.

it would be obvious if they started floating in the air

But that's most likely going to be fixed. I'm not certain though.

After reading the whole dossier, nothing in there convinced me anyone's at risk here. Jazz didn't get his info spread around because Blockland "isn't safe," it all happened because of what he did wrong, so innocent people aren't going to end up in the same predicament that way.

As for being "hacked," you're no more likely to have your Blockland forums account stolen than you are to have any of your other accounts stolen. Keep a good password, don't give it out, and don't download anything weird. You'll be fine. I don't know the details of what the dll injector actually does, but I think the only thing it can do is allow people that downloaded it to cheat at the game, not compromise accounts. Unless you download the injector yourself, because for all I know it has a RAT or a keylogger in it or something, I wouldn't trust it.

If you don't do anything wrong and don't do anything stupid, you're probably perfectly safe.

how to fix freeze?
the more badspot fixes his engine, the less good stuff we will get.

Because it's painfully apparent that the only reason you post things is to draw attention to yourself from other users. You're a melodramatic attention whore and everyone here realizes it but you.

The hack is not malicious, that's the end of the story.

Sure, it's breaking the game and copyrights but it is not malicious, users have no need to worry about it, rather the creator of the game needs to fix it, not just scare everyone into not using it because they'll get their information stolen.

The dossier on me has nothing to do with the hack, Badspot released my information on his accord, it was not 'hacked' and given out.
