Author Topic: Week long bans introducing new accounts  (Read 4792 times)

Yeah you're right, but let them break more rules continuously, they have all the right to buy as many chances as they choose and if they continue to be an idiot they will get banned again, simple as that.  And I doubt Badspot would change that, he gets money, not only that, but those people get punished for spending money, that's literally their punishment, spending money.  Seems like a suitable punishment for forum bans.
And they shouldn't, people can spend their money how they like, it's probably not the best choice, but they do and will.

People only gave a stuff at the time because making alts were free and easy, if you read Badspot's development thread he actually tells you why he made it so you can buy as many chances as you want.  "Since the forum now requires you to register your Blockland key to post".
But people who do it just to avoid a week-long ban are morons. There's also people who abide by the rules, but also use them to their advantage to antagonize people.

Then there's people like Jazz, who constantly empty their wallets out over a lego-forum just to antagonize the people on it, rule-abiding or not. These people are the only ones who I can actually see getting their own chances, as they have most means to forget it up and continue to give Badspot money, the other people who ben the rules or just activate another key just so they can avoid a short-ban and continue to post are the ones who should be banned as soon as they activate.

They have enough money, let them do what they want

You couldn't prevent them from coming back anyways

Sorry Ceist but that's just how it is, I have no reason to argue any further, I've explained everything.

Nothing wrong with getting $20 for banning idiots.

but that's just how it is
This doesn't really justify the fact the rest of the forums should have to put up with them. That's partially the reason why I made this drama.

You either haven't read everything or are just missed the point completely.

Yes I did, I know it's annoying and stupid to avoid a ban like that, but it's still making money. Wouldn't you like to get $20 every time someone makes an account because you banned them for being stupid?

Besides, if they're breaking the rules again they'll just get banned again.

Not if they're going to continue to try and degrade the community, Blockland is on Greenlight right now and Amazon, so that's a pretty big risk.

the rest of the forums?  You're the first person I've ever seen make a big deal out of it.

You are just repeating yourself.  Both stories have been told guys, now close the book.

$20 is $20, badspot not gonna let that go just because some idiot can't keep his dysfunctional ego off the internet.

How would you prevent people from coming back? Think about how to do this before saying you want it

Just because something is "how it is", doesn't make it right or efficient.

I never said that it was right or efficient now did I? Nope.  I'm saying that it is how it is because that is exactly how it is, we don't pick and choose, that is was badspot made it, and there's nothing of can do about it.

Nobody asked for your explanation of the key system, Ceist was proposing an idea.

And I'm proposing that the idea will most likely never happen.

what is even the point of that

That's like going into random suggestion threads and saying "lol that's impractical get out". I agree with Ceist and what he's saying is completely logical. The likelihood of Badspot changing anything is slim, but at the end of the day the chances of any drama topic producing anything good is slim. Coming into this thread and telling Ceist his idea is worthless because it probably wont happen is incredibly dismissive.
