people making dramas for host unfair banning/kicking?

I haven't been banned more than like twice in my entire Blockland career. Maybe that's because I play on my own server. I don't remember having to ban people that often, maybe if the purpose of their pilgrimage was to call me a friend.

i dont even know how to kick or temp ban. i hit that little check box every time. and usually dont even write a reason. because if i am to never speak to that person again, why the forget do i care if they know why they are banned.

i have perm banned a couple people before just because they were holding a very long stupid conversation i was tired of reading. i dont warn them or ask them to stop.
you cant train stupid people, nor should that be my concern anyways. they just need to be tossed.

being an ignorant fool who bans people because he dislikes them rather than them actually breaking a rule is never a sign of a good admin

does not correlate with a blockland server whatsoever
allow me to provide a better example
if someone is in your little field game, say, you guys are playing soccer or something
he just decides to go and pick some forgetin daisies
then you can just kick him the forget out with no reason given
they know exactly why they were kicked the forget out
even if theyre being a richard, you can kick them the forget out

bisjac is right with managing your own server - you can ban people whenever you damn well please
it is your party, and you can be a richard if you want
but what baddy says is said for a reason; if you are a richard in your server, then dont expect certain people to come back
but if you dont care if they come back or not then whatever

It is a PRIVLEDGE to be able to play on someone else's server, not a right.

On YOUR server, YOU should be able to have any rules apply to it that you see fit. It doesn't matter if the players on your server think it is unfair.
If you have a rule that players cannot have long conversations, talk about certain things ect... No matter how ridiculous it sounds, its the hosts server. And the host makes the rules. He could make a rule that you cannot talk to other players at all, or can't kill admins, or whatever the forget he wants. If the players don't like rules, and then break them because they find them to be unfair, then complain about it on the forums becaus they got banned and don't like the rules... That sounds pretty bitchy and stupid to me. It is not your right to play on their server and shouldn't bitch about getting banned or kicked because you think tje rules are abusive and unfair and chose not to follow them.

The players are not above the host... The host doesn't make the rules according to if he thinks the players will like them or not... He has full right to ban any player in his server that does not follow his rules, even if they are abusive and the player does not agree with them. If a player breaks arule, they shouldn't bitch about why he got punished for it. Players are not entitled to play on just any sever they want and thus shouldn't complain about getting banned from a server for breaking a rule they just simply don't agree with.

Look at it this way:
If a host's rules are highly abusive and unfair, drama is a way of warning other players whose servers should be avoided.
You can ban them, and it is within your power to do so (though whether it's right or not is a matter of personal ethics), but don't expect people to like you for it.

I do not believe this topic is about the hosts ability to "unjustly" ban or kick but, moreso whether people actually want to hear about it in the drama forums or not. My response conveys my opinion on the subject. I would prefer not to hear people complain about "stupid" bans, kicks, and mutes because they broke rules that they did not agree with. I do not think the host should be thought bad of for doing do either, after all the player broke their rules. Why should a host be thought of badly for banning a player for breaking their rules? Because players don't like the rules? Well, that sure doesn't make much sense to me.

Bisjac is right, you can ban people for literally anything, like, ban them for not talking, it doesn't matter, it may not be right of you to, but you can, also, you should expect a drama if you do ban them, banning them for that reason is handicapped and drama should be worthy for that.  I agree with Bisjac to limitations though.

On the contrary, if the player elaborates on why they see those rules as unfair and what the problem is, I would much rather see it in drama. The host should be thought badly of if they are unclear, inconsistent, or ridiculous in their rules, and as such also serves as a warning to not provide admin to that person on your own server.

I very much agree with permabans on servers. If you came on to troll my server and join back, you aren't getting any mercy from me. Too many pansy admins relying too much on kicks. If I really want someone to take a break, they get a 24h hour ban. A full day to think about why they got what they got. It's awful effective.

since when has running a server been about a popularity contest? i can already tell you are to immature to be hosting anything if you think thats the point of multiplayer.

and just so you know. i have owned the top of the server list many long term occasions over the years. or are you new here...
