Use it as a guideline.
If you want it in a moment like that, then buy it.
If you think it's not likely to come back to any sales, like random developer weekends or daily sales, then buy it while you can.
It's your money you're spending. You decide how you think it's best to spend it.
And if you're going to definitely get the game, then you might as well get it at it's cheapest.
Just remember though that even a bargain costs money.
Don't go buying something just because it's cheap. Make sure it's something you can be interested in.
