i mean avg free, avast and stuff, even on standby they seem to use up a lot of resources.

whenever i dont have an antivirus my computer seems to do better. what the hell are these things doing in the background when not scanning?

I used it for a while like a year ago. Worked as well as I expected it to. I don't use it anymore though, so I can't speak for how it is currently. I can't imagine it's any different.

it slows up my boot up time so badly for some reason.
