Not having pre-orders would just cause more problems, such as Valve's income slowing down by some percentage, which is more of a bad idea than anything else from a business standpoint

Besides, it's the people's choice to pre-order a game that they have no idea what it's gonna be like or how it will run on their toaster, nothing can be done about that

Let people do what they want, if they think they're pre-ordering a game that's said to be the best thing since sliced bread, but turns out to be wet bread covered in ants, it's their fault for being so hasty to spend their hard earned money

If there was no pre-ordering, the same problem would still exist, the only difference being companies not getting their money faster

If that prevents companies from discovering DLC policies, do you really think it's a problem?

I shouldn't complain, but you do realise that GTA: San Andreas is one of the games that goes on sale the most on Steam?

I got it for free in the process of paying for a game I wanted, you can't really get cheaper than free
