honestly getting a current-gen console when next-gen consoles are already going to be out is a stupid idea

It shouldn't matter if xbox is cheaper, better games are coming out for the new consoles.

That way you just sell your PS3 and get backwards compatability.

Getting both a PS and Xbox console is dumb. Getting a PS3/360 and a Wii U would be ideal since they are way different in gameplay and games.
