"Roger that." I pop back up. "Move backwards now! They're bombing the gooks!" I tell the driver to move backwards, and I order the gunner inside. I close the hatch and we begin to move away from the target area.

Marcus opens fire on an enemy, that is preparing to throw a grenade. The man falls face-first landing on top of his grenade. Two or three seconds pass before the body is a bloody mess.

"Alpha watch your heads." I flip a switch, releasing 2 CBU-100s from their racks on the aircraft. I immediately pull up to circle around.

The night lights up, as 100's of small bombs splatter on the NVA, North Vietnamese guts go everywhere! I open the hatch back up and yell. "That's better loving fireworks then the ones used in Tet!" I see the Jet circle around. I quickly pop back in and close the hatch.

Marcus watches as the NVA goes up in flames. Marcus yells with excitement. "Woo! Holy loving stuff, good effect on target!."

I open the hatch one inch up and yell "GET DOWN! THE JET'S COMING BACK AROUND!" I quickly close the hatch again. I use the radio. "Good effect on target, most NVA down."

Marcus quickly ducks back down.

"Same position?"
"The cluster bombs seem to have scared their asses. Try moving the bombs back a little bit. They don't want to end up like their friends, with their body parts everywhere."

With the NVA being demolished, parts of the upper street is completely destroyed, leaving debris everywhere plus the dead NVA. Dan and Sergeant Baker run into the bar quickly to see if they can radio the command center.

Sergeant Baker takes the radio. "Command, this is Sergeant Baker, the NVA just assaulted Hue."
Command Center: "Yes Sergeant, we know, what we suspected was correct. The NVA and NLF have been assaulting all cities and towns that have. Hue and Khe Sanh have been hit the hardest by this. Right now we can easily evac the civilians out of Hue and back to Saigon. We're going to drive the NVA away, at any costs. Stay alert, Sergeant."
Sergeant Baker: "Yes sir."

Sergeant Baker hangs up the radio, immediately the second cluster bomb hit further up the street. A large bang is heard and tons of small shrapnel hits the side of the bar and parts of the tank. Sergeant Baker speaks to Dan, "Dan, go ask the tank driver if his vehicle is still operational because we're going to need to move up the street." "Yes Sarg'." Replies Dan.
Dan runs outside to the tank, and knocks on the hatch the command is in.

"They're pushed further up, and they won't be pushing back any time soon, so we need to make this the best situation we can. Is your tank still operable? If so we need you to push up the street. Our squad and the squad over there will stay at the side so no gooks try to come form behind."

"Anyone down there, who's in command? This is Defender, F-4 flight of two, we've been getting mixed radio transmissions."

"My tank's front armor is partially destroyed, but we can push up."

"I'm in command of the tank down here. not sure about the squad. Joseph Hargrove, Corporal of this M48 Patton. Anyways, these guys are saying that my tank is pushing up, but if you could do a bombing run of some anti-personnel bombs up the street before I move in, that'd be great."
