most games (dayz, sandbox games) freeze when walking

ever since i restored my comp to factory settings (comp was slow), and i play sandbox games (like gta and stuff)
when i walk, it freezes. when i let go of walking, my game runs normally.
this happens a lot in dayz, but except it happens constantly. sometimes i can run no problem, but most of the time, holding W, freeze. let go, sounds start playing and my character stops.
any way to fix this? its really annoying :(

It's some stupid windows setting i forget how to turn off. Pretty much windows is repeating the button like 10000 times over. Look it up.

is it filter keys? that sounds like a stuffty windows setting no one needs.

sticky keys deals with the function keys, i.e. shift, control, alt, etc.

FilterKeys is a feature of Microsoft Windows. It is an accessibility function that tells the keyboard to ignore brief or repeated keystrokes, in order to make typing easier for users with hand tremors.
