| Battlefront II and AMD Dual core processors just LOVE each other! |

And by the title of course I mean I want to burn my computer at the steak I have two AMD athlon II x2 240 processors, and I read online all that time that people are having issues with Battlefront II because it's not optimized for dual core processors, but nobody seems to be having the exact same issue or processor as I am. So I have no idea how to fix it It runs perfectly smooth for a half hour or so and then I respawn or join a new server or something and I suddenly drop to 5 fps, and it doesn't go back to normal even after I exit the server. I've tried using the supposed quick fix by clicking 'set affinity' and unchecking a processor in task manager so that the game acts like there's only one processor, but if anything, that seems to speed up the process. I've tried using imagecfg as mentioned on this page but that actually broke my game so that it wouldn't start at all. I just get an error message, so now I have to reinstall the game entirely. My drivers are up to date and everything too. So forum, WHAT DO?? |

and yet people wonder why i always choose intel processors in computer threads lol. what do you mean when you have "two AMD Athlon II x2" processors? you mean you physically have two of the same type of processor and you've tried both in your computer or you have two computers with this processor and you've tried BFII on them both? |
