You apparently don't understand that people can get addicted to anything. It's all about the psychological dependency, your brain tells you to crave it, so you do it. If you don't, you suffer from very major side effects.
First off, physical addiction doesn't even happen with food.
Second off, withdrawal symptoms are not bad at all, and last a really short period of time.
Thirdly, mental addictions can be broken easily and there is a huge list of things that can help.
note that eating food does release a small amount of pleasure. it's possible to be psychologically addicted to food but you'd have to be under some serious stress
My Aunt is pretty addicted to food because she's raising two teenagers in a small flat after divorcing her abusive husband and she fights to pay bills and rent. She's also working 24/7 to lose weight and overcome her addiction, you literally have no excuse.
Spicy food releases endorphins. Chocolate releases something similar to pleasure. Those are the only things I can think of off the top of my head that actually do anything physically.
You know what also triggers the release of endorphins? Exercise. A whole lot more of them than eating food ever will.
