Author Topic: Do you think we should increase funding for NASA?  (Read 9542 times)

All the scientists at NASA are trying to make Mars habitable so that we can leave Earth.
All of our money going into some stupid space exploration is stupid.
We should try to fix our own goddamn Earth before going to Mars.

fuq erth its boring

martians couldnt handle marz

Okay, I am sorry for saying that we shouldn't fund for NASA.

I am too narrow-minded, lol.

It was kinda ironic seeing how your avatar was a minifig from the Lego Space series

I wouldn't back down just because a couple people on a lego forum told you to.
Feel free to have your own opinions and beliefs.

Don't sucker in just because people are badgering you.

money's not really an issue as to why to increase the funding for NASA

In 2011 NASA's budget was 0.53% of the US federal expenditures which sat at around US$18 billion, with that number projected to drop to the 17 billions in the next few years. Might seem a lot until you compare it to something like, say, national defence, which in that same year got over half a trillion US$, more specifically US$665 billion.

NASA's budget also dropped to 0.48% in 2012, the lowest it's been since 1959, two years after it was founded

In another perspective, in 2008 the US government spent US$800 BILLION to bail out banks during the recession. NASA received, in total from 1958 to 2011, US$526 billion.

so it's kinda like a guy who owns a limo and a mansion saying that he wants to pay off his debts first before he goes to buy a new toaster

because throwing money at some scientists will make them learn fas- wait that's actually a good tactic!

Fund them 100%, I don't care how many die, Even me, We need to GET OFF THIS ROCK. Or we'll just tear eachother apart, I don't care about finding aliens, I don't give a flying monkey forget about Space viruses and stuff, We need to get off this planet, or the purpose of our existence, would be less then it is now.

8. swallow-able toothpaste
All toothpaste is swallowable. It's not like it's going to kill you if you swallow it. If it would it would not be allowed to be sold.
