THE only problem that I would have is getting it to plant in the direction you throw it. Sounds like a good idea though.

Well, if I had a deployable shield, what would I do......?

-Deploy it at the last second if someone is trying to run me over and make them crash.
-Have like 5 at a time to make a complete barrier
-Use it in someone's build to block them entry to their own room
-Etc.

If it's a solid shape you will probably not be able to stay inside it.
