What colorset do you guys use?

I don't mean to sound crass, but can someone tell me why people have such an infatuation with Trueno's colorset and the default one? The former is way too bright and cheery for me, and also lacks a good gray and brownscale. The latter deals with the same problems, and also has a distinct lack of colors. It doesn't even have a purple!
Shell:
I use Blur's selentic paints. it's pretty good for terrain and a lot of other purposes and it hasn't failed me yet. Trueno's only has one or two good greens and that is the color i use most.
