why do people hate blockland for it's community?

Bisjac:

back then the ONLY types of games were free builds, theme community builds, and vanilla death matches. and people competed to have the nicest looking servers, so the quality of every server was up.

but now people just use 100 addons and build nothing. addons are fun to play with but people get bored of them very quick. we get tons of server hopping and less people staying around to join in.

From 2007-2008, on average how many players would be on a server on the server list?

Bisjac:

not much different then the top 2 servers today. like 10-20 people any time of day.
but there was like 30 servers that had them, not just 2 like now.

there are tons more servers today, they just spread the population and everyone is alone lol

do you feel as if we can grow to about over 1000 players in servers at once in a year or two if we get onto steam?

Pass:

you guys don't realize that the 'community' you know is the same 50 or so people that constantly post on the forums. go join some 5 player count servers and you'll learn that what people say about the community (the forums aren't the community) is mostly true.

--- Quote from: Gen. Hothauser on August 13, 2013, 11:49:35 PM ---Lets consider a few prospects.  The majority of people playing this game are in the 10-14 age range, this being that they are looking around the Internet more and find the game, as opposed to younger kids who don't have as ready access to Internet.  Also, people start leaving blockland the older they get, and so not as many older kids as the middle-aged kids.

like I said, you're thinking of what you think is the community; the forums. most people that play the game are 9 to 11, and that's why whenever you see a new player come to the forums, they are most of the time not too intelligent and the richards of the forums make fun of them and them they go and forum Self Delete.
