Title says it all, what is the cheapest video card that can run shaders? |

| Subpixel:
Don't go for the cheapest video card. You can get one that works fine for $50, not much of an investment either. |

If your going to buy a new GPU, buy one that'll last. I'd go for the Geforce GTX 760 if you can, since it can definitely run shaders. Also, --- Quote from: Subpixel on August 15, 2013, 07:55:21 PM ---Don't go for the cheapest video card. --- End quote --- |

There is more to getting a new graphics card than just getting it. Depending on your current computer specifications, you may need to upgrade your power supply. Additionally, your current hardware will limit how far you can upgrade. If you get a graphics card too powerful, it will bottleneck your CPU. If you upgrade your CPU, you'll probably have to get a new compatible motherboard as well, and then the PSU.... Basically, you should tell us your computer's specifications so we can give you a recommendation. |
