Voice Commands V2
MEDIC!, Go left/right!, SPY!

What is this?
This allows you to join a server with this mod and press a binded key to open a GUI
Then press any button 1-8 that corresponds with the voice command you want to use!
Features:
  • RTB prefs to toggle the mod, modify if the command appears in chat and set the timeout so the commands can't be spammed.
  • Sounds from the scout in TF2(more sounds to come soon!)
  • Nice and simple GUI/HUD
  • Cleaned up all the messy code since last version
  • It's all one add-on, server and client!

If someone could please make a video demonstrating this I would be grateful, I can't record one since my sound card doesn't record my game sound.

This isn't even a specific voice command menu - it's a jumbled mess of all of them.
Why the hell didn't you just add 3 keys with 9 messages in each?

The messages that appear in chat only have a single message for each "command". Why?

because 3 keys is a bit too much if your like me and you have a certain add-on binded to almost all of the keys

I tried to get the most important ones in one menu

I don't quite get what you mean there

Still. There's a lot left out.

Well, for example, just for C → 4 (Jeers), here's all the messages there are for one class:

  • "Booooo!"
  • [blows a raspberry]
  • "Frickin' unbelievable!"
  • "This did not just happen!"
  • "This sucks on ice."
  • "No seriously, you all suck!"
  • "What the hell is your guy's problem?"
  • "Aw, jeez!"
  • "This sucks!"
  • "What the hell was that crap?"
  • "This is a real frickin' embarrassment!"

Ahh I get it yeah, I didn't want to put too much because, well, if I put them all plus different combinations for each class
that would be a lot of datablocks to download

but I could still add 2 or 3 different messages per command if you want

you don't need a sound for each possible message though, just text versions

Can people without the client go on the server and so something like !medic?

Can people without the client go on the server and so something like !medic?
No, the reason you need a client is to make it quicker, anything that you need to type out medic is counter-productive because this mod is to prevent typing

Erm, how about server sided, you can type like @1 - @8 for voice commands, and people can use the client ones for a menu.

what did this have to do with my suggestion at all

I made this before your suggestion
