Honestly I think Ravencroft's deserves to win. It isn't cheating to put a link to this topic in the welcome message.
It's just strategy and trying to get votes.

It's like if a politician tells you to vote for them. It's not cheating it's just a smart thing to do.

Because servers that are not hosted right now cannot possibly compete with servers that are currently up.

This I agree with. Next time the poll should only be for servers that aren't running anymore IMO.

You don't get it? It makes the whole poll useless if you're the only one actually directing your multiple visitors to this poll. Like, if you didn't expect to win after such an action you're handicapped. You killed the whole thread.

Ravencroft's is winning because no other server have a link to this topic in the welcome message, p much the only voters that participated (before the link) was those more or less active on this board. With Raven's portal to this topic, from in-game, the thread suddenly got alot more participating outsiders and seeing they all entered this topic through Raven's link it's p obvious who's gona have the advantage. If Badspot's would have a link it would probably win, for example.

Adding to that, if Tezuni would of directed his visitors to this thread he would defo be around the top despite the fact so many "hate" it here. He got the crowd, but he didn't use it.

There should be ranked choices but that kind of polling would have to be done outside of SMF.
