So I am going to play Dead Space for the first time-

How scary is it? I am really curious and don't want to stuff my pants the first 2 hours playing
I hear it's really more of an intense shooter

Well only the newer Dead Space games are mostly just shooters.
The original one is certainly a good ol' horror game though

They all aren't very scary. The first one is mostly just (fairly obvious) jump scares.
