I don't think they can do this, Red actually grows up in the manga/games.

May and Dawn aren't even part of the game universe.
I'm sure he's gonna be just as bland as ash, they have to make it kid friendly.

Judging by the ratio of surprised posts here I can tell many of you haven't visited the VG Megathread lately, it may be on the Games board and have "VG" in the title but it's not exclusively about the games, that's just the main focus, anything Pokemon-related is a fair topic there

That isn't to say of course that this thread shouldn't exist, something of this magnitude definitely deserves its own

I'm definitely excited, I'm a little worried that it won't be translated and aired in the rest of the world until later, hopefully if there's an English trailer soon it'll put that fear to rest

I was hoping the "worldwide release" plan with X&Y was going to carry over to other media, but to be fair the only reason that's happening is because of the new changeable language system with everything pre-translated so you're probably right
