I love both my keyboards, but the mac one has lasted me 5 years and has survived ice cream spilled on it, diet coke, and food crumbs.  It is pretty much an indestructible keyboard.

Apple engineers their products really well. I've had an iPad for 3 years now and I never use the case and it has fallen down over 50 times and these are hard hits on the ground, and nothing has cracked yet or broke. Apple devices are very durable (not iPods or iPhone's though).
