I don't get why having the highest post count is such a goal. It's not. If you try to make your post count really high and you dedicate yourself, you'll most likely spam the forums with crap and make everybody angry and agonize them to the point of going to extreme rage.

Sure thing. On a forum, where the main medium of communication is through text, posting annoying things like greentext or >leinb4birday1!! is roughly the same as shouting something unrelated to the conversation in the middle of it. It's not socially acceptable. In fact, its the opposite. Kinda like how it's a stupid thing to do to speak in all caps or to communicate using pictures, it's just stuffty forum usage. Why bother posting if you don't want people to take you seriously? Because you seemed awful mad about that in the birthday thread.

Green text is only annoying to the extent you let it become for you, it doesn't hurt you, it's like Kayne and Kim naming their baby loving North, sure you can hate it, but will raging really stop it? And at least that post would be even half relevent because it still talks about a birthday.
