terrains only use was for lazy people to create huge empty maps so we can drive for 20 minutes to our deaths. I never once saw a good build on terrain. good builds were always on slate and variants...

You must of went on the most populated servers.
When I just started blockland, I didn't really go on the most populated servers, and I seen some pretty decent and great builds on terrain (although it may be because i just started out)
But still, good builds can be built on terrain, you just need the patience to actually make look good.

can you name a TDM where you had to drive 20 minutes to your destination? or is that an over-exaggeration made so that your point seems valid? even if they did exist, you weren't forced to play on those maps. lots of people found large scale maps fun, that's why jorgurs dogfight always had a big hoopla when it was hosted. if you want to see a good build on terrain, load a duplication save of something and put it onto the slopes.

I know for a FACT thatslate is for lazy people who don't like working with constrictions! they obviously don't like to challenge themselves to working with existing surroundings! Frank Lloyd Wright is famous for his organic architecture, he would see slate as a handout, something for the lazy! Slate is used to create small, confined, deathmatches so you can walk 2 seconds to your death. There's nothing good that came out of it except laziness!

jorgurs is a prime example of 20 minutes
if you're not flying a crap-handling stunt plane you're driving for a couple hours in a jeep

second para is just silly lol

and im fairly sure terrain is a pretty easy excuse for laziness as your old tdms and all that crap were literally like boxes on opposite ends and weren't really fun except for the short combat sequences followed by a long haul back...
id much rather be dying every few seconds and still getting in the action then periodic and monotonous sequences of nothing happening... lol
