Good luck on the surgery Raven! I'll miss you! :)

Thanks WALDO, best hider and yet also best finder... Still don't think you need it completely reshaped, but what does it matter what I think? Not even being sarcastic, I get that we're just internet people.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. It means a lot. Here's an update on me:

Went to the hospital around 5AM, surgery started at 7:30. The last thing I remember was sliding myself onto the operation table. Can't remember anything before that due to the anesthesia. The surgeon ended up cutting out the cartilage blocking my nostril and rebreaking my nose so he could get it straightened. Then the plastic surgery happened after that. The procedure was called a septo/rhinoplasty if you guys want to look it up. I woke up from anesthesia and everything was blurry and I didn't know where I was. I was having panic attacks because I wasn't ale to move any of my limbs. They were still asleep from anesthesia. I was in a hospital bed another 5 hours with nausea, dizziness and pain. Every time I tried to stand up I would get sweaty and almost pass out. I haven't been able to urinate normally because the anesthesia has somehow made it's way inside my bladder. I was home at around 4PM finally stabilized. I slept up until now, and I have little to no pain currently. I've been eating oatmeal and bread all day, so that sucks. My nostrils are currently stuffed with some tissue things to prevent excess mucus and blood dripping. So yeah, that's basically it for me. I'm just hanging out watching tv right now. Might be on BL later if I'm not exhausted.

How feel you? Are feel you of the pains?

Well when I was a baby they had to put tubes in my ears to suck out menstrual fluid out of my ears lol.

I don't know why but this made me laugh

I've never had surgery in my life.

I was about to get this surgery myself; but I didn't. I was in fear that my septum was messed up as well because my mom had the surgery that you went under once in her life. I used to have severe trouble breathing almost to the point that it seemed like I had asthma, but it stopped after time and the only thing that was causing it was my severe addiction to CVS' Nasal Spray. Lmfao once I got off that stuff my nose started working properly again. I do use it sometimes in the morning when I can't breathe, though.

When I was a newborn child, I had pyloric stenosis. I was throwing up everything I ate and I would have died if I hadn't of gone under a surgery two weeks into my life. They cut into my stomach and did some stuff I forgot what it was, but they forgot to sterilize their damn tools and now I have this scar on my stomach. They offered to remove it (now many years later, of course), but I objected to it. I will never let a doctor operate on me ever again. They may have saved my life, but they forgeted me up for years because of it. But at least I'm alive. I'm not taking the risk again, though.

why in god's name would you ever do that? people who get plastic surgery are too loving insecure about themselves and need to be closer to that "perfect image" that's more attractive and people find cute to feel confident
The desire for self-improvement is an inherent characteristic of most sane people. I take accutane so that my face doesn't look like stuff. OP is getting plastic surgery because he has a deformed nose. The only difference here is the recovery time, and that's OP's decision to make. I suppose we should just shun people who use air conditioning because our ancestors were tougher and just 'dealt with it'?

Furthermore, plastic surgery isn't just for people who are 'too loving insecure'. Plastic surgery is widely used after surgical procedures as part of the treatment plan. Certain types of surgeries would leave massive, permanent scars on obvious parts of the body if they weren't cosmetically corrected after the procedure. For example, my mother had a basal cell carcinoma removed from her cheek two years ago. Immediately after having it removed, she went to a cosmetic surgeon to prevent the scar from being as severe. This was all covered under her insurance plan.

Whoever told you they didn't sanitize their tools may have given you some spurious information. Sanitation procedures are highly regulated and closely observed in American hospitals. Furthermore, it might be a bad idea to swear off surgery for the rest of your life because you had complications during a surgical procedure that prevented your early death. I guess that just depends on how long you want to live though.

Edit: 3 minutes on Wikipedia tells me you almost certainly had a plyoromyotomy procedure performed to treat your pyloric stenosis. This procedure, along with virtually all other types of surgical procedures, leaves a scar on the incision site. You do realize scars form regardless of whether tools are sanitized properly, right?

I have never had surgery, never broken anything.
