i remember getting banned from a MotE server in like early v8 for the reason
"ID 1234 = Fail"
i remember the server being called like "NO 1K's ALLOWED" but I didn't know what a 1k was then

That only stops people from seeing other peoples ID's, not stopping anyone else from seeing their ID.
