Author Topic: Hair overusing the term "Illegal"  (Read 9701 times)

"dont make me have to drama you!"
"if you drama me i'll drama you!!!"
i hate when people say this. drama isn't your personal army. it's not like either of these users were 'hacking' or abusing the server and users. tbh most of us don't care enough to open up blockland and ban someone just because he said something you don't like. the only drama persecution i've really seen was when some idiot brings up drama/forum topics on an ingame server acting like they actually matter and are relevant to enjoying the game.

anyways you dragged it on for too long trying to prove something. you beat an idiot in an argument (albeit looking like a dork in the process), congrats i guess? should've just banned him after your first time explaining.

ps: the font sucks and i'm seeing double. next time can u just paste text or something?? thanks

I didn't ban him because I was trying to prove a point.

^ that goes for Skip.

why bother
an idiot's an idiot and isn't worth the time

You kept arguing with him long after it was clear he wasn't going to get the point. By then, you drop the discussion and ban the moron if he continues, rather than making a huge over-dramatic scene on the server, and making a stupid drama topic over the matter to boost your e-peen.

I'm sorry that I upset your feelings, but you need to face the facts that if you were the builder of this city, and finds out that someone is hosting a server with your build. You would confront this as stolen. Now it gets you more angryer when the host don't even know the name of the person who build this. But if you don't agree with me, that's alright because we have our opinions. Opinions is opinions you cant change it. I apologize for being a wannabe smart ass. I'm sorry to make you guys upset, I didn't really mean to. I'm sorry for being an jackass, all mistakes will lies at me. I really didn't know what I was saying anyways. Again I'm sorry please forgive me.

If someone was hosting a server with something I built, I'd be flattered

Listen up noobs, saving is here to stay.  If you can't handle someone else playing with your build, grow the hell up.

If you start doing gay stuff to break my game, I'm going to start banning you from the master server.  This is a war you don't want to start because I'm the only one with nukes.

but you need to face the facts that if you were the builder of this city, and finds out that someone is hosting a server with your build. You would confront this as stolen.

not everyone is an idiot who flips their stuff the second they find out someone is using their virtual blocks to play

I think I can maybe sort out two points that caused this whole argument.

First of all, "Stealing" in Blockland isn't all that bad.
If I save someone elses work and host it on my server, then it's only bad if I claim it to be mine. That is me trying to take credit for someone elses work and possibly even gain popularity based on that.
If I save someone's work and host it, but do not claim it is mine, then it's not a problem. I am simply enjoying someone elses work while I can, and showing it off to other people for them to enjoy. So long as I don't claim I made it, then no credit is stolen from the original builder.

For some, myself included, having someone host your work can be a good thing. It means that other people can enjoy it when you're not able to host it. In Blockland, a game based around building things and sharing and playing, that's quite a big goal for a lot of people.

Navaro is of the view that he has caused no harm to the person who created the build. It was not his intention to claim credit for someone elses work.

The second point is from these three images.

You asked Navaro if he knew the creator of the build. Navaro responded "not personally".

In most cases, the term "knowing personally" means to actually be in contact with someone and have discoursed with them.
It isn't the same as "knowing them".

For example, I know the celebrity Brad Pitt.
I do not know him personally however, as I have never met him nor talked to him.

When you asked Navaro if he knew the builder and he replied "not personally" he meant to infer that he does know the builder, but not on a personal level.
Which is why he later gave the name of LegoPepper and his BLID.

You didn't understand that Navaro had initially said he knew of the creator.
So, understandably, when he suddenly gave his name and ID, it was weird and suspicious.
Navaro replied to this in similar confusion, because he had already explained he knew the builder.

From here on in, you two were arguing because you both got confused and annoyed with each other.
You both, and later Zoltan too, became aggressive and rude. Navaro swore at you, and you seemingly threatened him with a drama topic.

Hair simply has an alternate view on build "stealing".
While his view isn't always agreed on by everyone, it is fair, as people "stealing" and claiming credit for a build is common and isn't very nice.

He simply wanted to enquire into the build and make sure you weren't claiming credit. He didn't want you to hurt the original builder, nor be picked out on by others for taking credit.
He was too forthcoming, but I don't think he had bad intentions.

The entire argument really came down to a small disagreement in opinion and confusion in language.

You then got to arguing quite heatedly and in quite a petty manner too.

I don't think you were being a decent person during the argument at all, Navaro.
You did swear at and insult Hair, and you rallied Zoltan and -Tommy- against Hair, as well as tried to rally Snoz too.
Hair got desperate when he was being picked on from all sides. Which is why he threw in the "illegal" argument and the link. You're right in that it doesn't apply to Blockland. But Hair didn't have anything else to say and probably wasn't thinking overly rationally in a heated argument.

You should either have stopped arguing, or simply kicked or banned Hair.
There was no need to drag the argument on, and there was no need on either side for threatening to Drama and "counter-drama" each other.
I think everyone involved needs to maybe calm themselves down a little bit and think a bit more before you act.

sir dooble just won the thread

imagine if dooble and destroyer formed a faction

I do admit I was attacking him constantly. But, this is because I'm not going to rationalize with someone who is whining about Navaro having a build from Legopepper.

I have Lego in my steam "friend"s, so if necessary, I can bring him up. Not a threat, just if necessary.
More or less ontopic, Dooble does make some great points.
