How did Blockland improve your life?

ResonKinetic:

In my years of playing Blockland, I have elevated to a higher level of consciousness and can now manipulate matter with my mind.

Digital matter.

the hacker:

I literally learned everything about online video games through Blockland, as it's the first online game I've ever played.

BluetoothBoy:

I started working with and appreciating music more (which I now hope will be a major part of my profession), and I have honed my drawing and coding skills more as a result of Blockland (and the community).

A few people I think I should thank for these one-ups:

- TheBlackParrot: You have no idea how inspiring you are to me, man. Maybe someday we'll meet IRL and do a collab or something. ;)
- Xalos, MARBLE MAN, Port, Demian, Barnabas, etc: You guys have helped me improve my modeling and coding skills, as well as made me more interesting in doing just that.
- ShadowsfeaR, QuantamEagle, Flamecannon, Anti-Block, etc: You guys helped me improve my artwork by criticizing it, which motivated me to improve. I'd still be a blegh artist if it weren't for the BL community.
- Anyone from the BLF who has followed me on SoundCloud: This means a lot to me, and by showing your support, I decided to keep making music instead of stopping, and have gained more followers as a result.

Considering this, I'd say the BLF/BLC has had a fairly large impact on my life, considering you afore-mentioned people helped shape my career path.

Thanks, guys. (^~^)

sir dooble:

It certainly gave me a medium to express my opinions across, even if no one is listening. And that's something very useful.

Entering the community has allowed me to improve my writing skills and my way of putting my point across, although I still struggle and get carried away with different thoughts.
What that means is that I end up diluting everything I want to say and spreading it all quite thin. It's the reason why most of my posts are very long.
I can't keep on track when thinking of things, so I end up listing absolutely everything I'm thinking and writing that.
But, these forums certainly give me a place to vent all that, and try to improve. At the very least, most people don't seem to mind me having long posts.

I have also met a large number of people through the community and that has made me more aware of other opinions and cultures and whatnot.

And, Blockland as a game, has been an unbelievably strong bond between me and a friend of mine in real life.
It most definitely gave us the foundation for a great friendship. We're both rather solitary people I dare say, so having something we could do together outside of School, and when we lived in different towns, was useful.
And although we don't play Blockland together much these days, I chat with him lots and am always playing games.

And through him I have also made friends with other people who I would never have had the opportunity to talk to, or in some cases, even meet.
