I remember literally the first thing I thought when I fired the pistol in the starting mission was "Wow. This sounds like a cap gun. Maybe the other guns sound better." After completing the game, the only guns that sounded remotely good were the revolver, automatic pistol, and some of the shotguns. The assault rifles (especially the M16 lookalike), submachine guns, police pistol, and bulldog machine gun all sounded absolutely terrible. Saints Row 3 might not have necessarily had good sound design, but it was miles ahead of SR2. |

The saints row 2 sound effects are miles better. |
