Looks like a regular ban to me. People, when banning, usually either put a reason for the ban, something dumb(like this one), or nothing at all.
If you only shot him once or twice with, say, a pistol, it wouldn't make sense to be banned, but if you kept doing it/did it with a very loud and obnoxious weapon,
then this is a pretty fair ban.
