i think he means that it is new to BL, because hardly anyone made houses with Brickwork like this, i only think i and a couple other people do it.

I've seen a trillion houses in my neighborhood which look just like the ones in the op. So I don't think its new?

Exterior walls look good, but the roof's pitch is ridiculous. For houses with that big a footprint, you're better off using 30 degree ramps than 45, or the roof will be taller than the rest of the house combined.

The second one needs less slope on the roof, I'd agree. The first one looks fine with it however
