of course i originally play a double reed so i can barely hold my mellophone, forget playing it.

what you don't know is being a double reed gets you exempt from pretty much everything but actually marching
my band director doesn't care if we can play our marching instruments, and in sectionals all we do is talkpractice all-region music

I like to know how non-musicians hear it.

You hardly really move, i can hardly consider that marching. The size of your band is quite standard and small, which is why i can understand quality in sound over performance.

Though it doesn't surpass our 100+ band member shows with full color guard performers and a huge marching routine each year. We also do different shows each year, plus go to states on trips to perform for them either as just orchestral or parading.

We've marched the main road in Disney Florida Magic Kingdom in 105 degree weather, full uniform as well.

I guess i don't realize sometimes that my school is really prestigious in certain ways. There's only about 400 students in the whole high school, so it's quite the close knit bunch really.

We're well known for marching, football, soccer, and robotics where we still hold some world records.

Well, marching in lines isn't really insane if you compare it to our shows, let alone the pros. We also have a pretty well renowned set designer who writes our show. We pay a pretty penny to get our shows made by him, they are damn good.

You sound very nice Electro, I'm doing marching band also playing Bass Drum #2 in the Drumline, and about the complaining, I know your pain. By the end of the first week of Marching band camp, I had huge Blisters on my big toes and I had to march even more. Good luck!
