just go with 8, its way faster and looks better

Does it matter? Windows 7 is expensive, plus Windows 8 is better if you exclude it's 'different' user interface. All you have to do is download an application that adds a start button and disables the metro start up screen/apps and disables the gestures with the corners. Instant Windows 7 interface with Windows 8's superb driver support and optimization.
