Development Team OR Modding Community?

If there were no add-ons, say, how long would you play before it gets boring? 1 day? 2 days?

I said that the modding community is very important as well.

This game would be dead without the modding community.
Pretty much every feature added after v8 was originally a mod.
1. Wrench Events. Corrected, my memory is faulty
2. Doors
3. Team Death Match

Nevermind:
This is basically a chicken or egg question.
Without development team, no blockland.
Without modding community, stuff game.
Personally, I say the development team has contributed more to blockland, but still, I won't be able to argue back if someone says modding community is more important.
Also, you forgot the builders: an almost extinct group of players.
