you would be better off using coincidental. i hate it when people use ironic wrong.
ironic means the opposite of what you expected to happen.
ironic is when its made of iron.

Lol, you silly.  Only plane aficionados like us know words like that, though my knowledge is less in flying and more in mechanics.
