Forcing the Player to sit in a Bot Vehicle

I've been having trouble getting the player to stay sitting down in player vehicles. While I was trying to solve the problem, I noticed that all other bot vehicles seem to be made in ways that incorporate a standing player but disguise this fact by mounting them in certain ways (The tank hides them in the model, the bike makes it look like they are sitting in the saddle etc.)

Is there actually any way to get the player to sit down in a player vehicle? I'd post what I've tried, but it seems pointless.

Have you tried just playing the sit animation when they mount?
