How dangerous is it to me or to the car for a Citroen C3 4 piston engine be running on 3 pistons? It makes motorcycle sounds and randomly revs up/chokes. |
| XR-7:
Got the spare car pulled out of the woods last night. First, my dad drove the van into the yard and tied a winch to the trailer hitch and then tried reeling in the car with a spare car battery. Battery was too weak though. So I got in the car and used the manual braking and steering while my dad just pulled on it with the van's power. The cars were about 20ft apart and it was kind of awkward, so after pulling a bit, the winch was taken off and we looped a tow strap through the engine bay of the car and the van pulled with no more than 6in clearance. Once the car was at the driveway, we just pushed it into the spot we wanted manually. Known problems: - dead battery (no big deal) - broken door handles (somehow the driver side was working yesterday?) - starter is broken (don't know how bad that is) - mice damage? (If expensive or electrical, not fixing it) |
| Caution:
They have one of these at the dealer here now, rims and all, and oooh is it lovey. Only like $20,000 too. |

What about injectors? Also have you given your ignition coils a look? |
| Georges:
Iirc, one of Dodge's trucks had this thing where certain pistons would shut off when the extra power wasn't needed. That, however, was specifically designed to do that, so IDK about your citroen |
