Car thread
Fredulus:
hhm yeah was just looking at that. apparently alabama only requires safety inspection upon transfer of ownership or for a car that was previously registered in another state.
forget that lol
Night Fox:
alabama's a pretty stuffty state in general though
Caution:
I'm pretty sure MN doesn't have any inspection stuff either.
I recently took a road trip out to Idaho and on the I90 we saw a baby blue Lotus Elise being trailed behind a matching FJ Cruiser. It was kind of bizarre but pretty cool. We also saw an NSX driving around, those things are still lovey too.
XR-7:
Missouri has inspections. I know nothing about them though since my dad just takes all our cars individually by himself. I think they have to be done whenever the plates get renewed or something, which can be either one or two years depending on how much you pay. My dad does a one year renewal on the plates, which he is supposed to do in July. He got ticketed for overdue plates with me in the car last year.
Pie Crust:
This past hour, heading back home, I witnessed a whole new level of kamikazee and friendry. Thick fog, 15m of visibility according to the radio. We were going at 30km/h as stated on the fog warning signs and we had our brights turned off. Some friend was going at 70km/h minimum with his brights turned ON and he cut us off. It was a Hilux IIRC. How the hell can you see where you're going in thick fog with your bright lights turned on? The fog signs clearly stated that, when only a single arrow on the road was visible, brights must be off and your speed can't be higher than 40km/h.
