All of the freeways? No wonder California is costly to live in

Not all of them, but the ones that aren't have retaining walls. Our freeways have at least eight lanes running each direction, having animals on the road would be a huge problem since the normal speed of travel is upwards of 70mph. A lot of money goes in to keeping stuff off of them.

I've never even heard of an animal being on the freeway, I've never even seen roadkill.

The interstates in the city area where I live are raised or have walls but in some parts deer and stuff could easily make it onto the road.  Lastnight we almost hit one on the highway going 65mph on a wooded corner

It really depends on where you live.

I live on the outskirts of town and I see animals on the road all the time. I see roadkill every day lol

If you lived in a highly populated area you probably wont see many animals on the road.
$trinick:
Deer don't exist where I live. The only large wild animals we have are like coyotes, and honestly I've never even seen one in real life, let alone on the freeway. Trust me, it never happens.
