An investment is something that you purchase with the intent of gaining money off its predicted rise in value. Cars in almost all cases only depreciate in value, and this is known by everyone I've ever talked to.

As I've reiterated again and again, the car is fully insured for any possible collisions. Since the word investment by nature refers to the monetary value of something, the prospect of me crashing it would not change anything at all, except that my new one would have a manual transmission. It's actually a good thing if I "crash daddy's investment."

This is dumb. We should be friends. We both have cool cars ;-) just don't drive like a dumbass.

Huh, do you know what an investment is? Unless the intent is to gain money off the car, which is probably not the case since the car will only decrease in value, then it's not an investment. Investments are things you pay for in hopes of gaining money, for example, stocks, real estate, business, precious metals, etc.
stuff, didn't see trinicks post.
