My IAC valve is clean now. Gonna see how it does tomorrow when I get to campus when the engine is hot.

Xr, you should get rid of that buick, its nothing but trouble, and even worse you dont know half of what's wrong with it, i say just pass it on to someone else and let them deal with it and try to move up in reliability with whatever money you can sell it for

Thing is, my mom wants me to keep it around so my brother can have it when I move on to another car. I also can't get a car loan because I have no credit and I'm not even working enough to be able make payments anyway.

Hopefully cleaning the IAC will work. Someone on a Buick forum suggested I clean or replace it. When it was taken off, the valve was absolutely filthy as well as the socket where it plugs in, so my dad and I got it literally shiny clean.

i didnt know there were people so dedicated to buicks as to make a forum about them

they are normally pretty reliable, my dad's 1995 lesabre got 75000 miles and 3 years put on it without any maintenance that costed more than 200$

must be the newer ones cant live up to the rep

Possibly. The only major projects that need to be done are the front engine mount (needs replacing) and I need new brake lines. My brake lines are extremely rusty and I'd hate for them to rust through. My brake fluid is also almost black and it's supposed to be almost as clear as water.

if that sounds ridiculous to you, then I think you get my point

i was 100,000th read, also buicks arent really cars that people get excited about though, they're kind of just grocery getters and thats it unless you like tuning sleeper cars then you like buicks a lot

there are forums just for individual scion models
it's not that surprising, man

I wonder if there are forums for Mustangs, Camaros, or Silverados

There are two Lotus electric cars near where I live. One is only $4500. Interesting

most electric cars are trash
only buy the highly rated ones or you will regret it

I would never buy one of those. I've never even heard of them

wow
what happened to the wheels

So cleaning the IAC valve seemed to work pretty well. I started the car again after I parked it on campus today with the engine hot. It seemed to hesitate a little bit but it may have just been from trying to start the car immediately after turning it off.

-yeah nothing here guys I'm just a complete idiot-

A forum for the Toyota Yaris exists called Yarisworld. Not gonna link because I don't want to be mistaken for advertising it.
