my favorite car is the Porche 918 spyder

Here's the back of this beast!

Last night I almost hit a flying great horned owl on my street. Its wingspan was literally similar to mine and was more than 75% the width of my entire car. It just swooped out of the trees and started flying down the road at windshield level with me following it. It was maybe going 30mph and was so close that I could see the movement of its feathers. After about 5 seconds, it diverted up and off to the right allowing me to pass.

Owls are wise.

Last night, I was driving on a road around 10:45pm last night when the yellow Pontiac G5 in front of me almost mowed down a pack of deer. There were three or four of them and I saw them a good 10 seconds before he even got near them just kinda chilling in the middle of the street. He just kept driving full speed and I was thinking, "Man this guy is going to hit them." He got within about 25 feet of them and just slammed on the brakes and swerved into the next lane with oncoming traffic heading towards him on the other side of a small hill. From that point on, he drove as much as 15 under the speed limit.

It just kills me when I spend hours on nationwide craigslist hunts and find awesome deals on cars I want. I'm pretty broke, but starting to look more seriously into getting a job. If luck goes my way I want a 1997-2003 (E39) BMW 540i M-sport. The 2003 models are rare and expensive, and I believe they mostly came with auto gearboxes, so probably pre '03. If I get one of these it has to be the 6-speed. I'm probably looking in the $6,000 range for a good one, unless I find a rare offer/fixer-upper.

I would probably do a muffler delete. Thoughts on that?

lovey
"teach your kids of the love of german cars and they will never have the money for drugs"

teach your kids to love old Toyotas, they will never get speeding tickets, its damn near impossible

also, going to delete the rear brakes (brake line blew) on what ive now named "redge" the 1991 camry parts car and ill have my winter ice race rocket complete, im also going to take some old winter tires from a Datsun 240z at the house and put them on the front wheels, its the most budget race car ever devised. 250$ and a dream
I also got some good parts off it for the good camry.

I call it redge because edgy redgey. just got tetstar fish on dat edge if you catch my drift

I don't have pics of redge yet but I do have a pic of my camry helping get some family work done, I actually have the only functioning car with a trailer hitch, and this was probably the first time anyone has used that trailer hitch. anyway doing some renovating work with my dad (who's in the trailer)

Do you lust for slightly old bikes too?

I also like older bikes, like the Cafe Racers for example.

I hope to build a cafe racer out of an old honda cb series bike sometime when I have my own place with a garage to store it

cafe racers are seriously the best-looking type of bike ever to exist

Fun Fact: In the jaguar factory the engine assembly line is surrounded by wet floor signs

Okay here's a deal that I would like to know you guys opinion on this.

My aunt had recently married a few weeks ago, and her husband which is basicly my uncle now turned out to be very a good friend to me, and yesterday he bought a new car but he still owns his old one which he plans to re-paint and sell it later, it's a Wine Red '97 Fiat Uno (it might will be formula red after the re-paint, yes I suggested that) it comes with air conditioning, a full alarm system, stereo, electric windows and 4 doors, yeah I know it's a boxy old hatchback but I really like those, and since I got a job recently I plan to save up cash to buy my first car and his old car is pretty cheap to run and maintain so I believe it's a nice start, it's not very powerful but it has a very good gas mileage and I need that a lot and he also did maintenances on the car, what do you guys think?

The car looks like this (sorry about the small pictures I coudn't find any bigger)

It might get this color after the re-paint

If I do end up buying this car, I plan to do a few minor modifications on the exterior to make it look nicer, I could make a 3D model to show what I plan to do.

Looks good. Besides it has potential. I say go for it.
